Cost effective. Outdoor VCB Design Features: The outdoor VCB's consist of vacuum interrupters housed in porcelain bushings with adequate creepage. The mechanism is of robust design, spring charged & Trip-Free type. Control Panel is provided with Instruments, meters and protective relays. CTs, PTs are optional and can be supplied. Indoor VCB Design Features: The Switchgear cubicle has a compartmentalized design . These are:
Breaker / Truck compartment.
Busbar / CT compartment / Cable end Terminations.
Instrument and relay compartment.
Circuit breaker / Trucks :
The circuit breaker truck is of horizontal withdrawable and Isolation type provided with operating mechanism , Aux. Switch & Indicators. Vacuum interrupters are mounted in epoxy resign cast housing with epoxy drive rods. The truck is of a robust , simple design with welded steel construction. Components used are optimized to provide maximum reliability interlocks.
The breaker is provided with inter locks like
Withdrawl or insertion only in switched-off position.
Plug & sockets in the LT circuit with self aligning contacts.
The Mechanism used with the breaker is of spring charged and Trip - Free type.
