Cost effective.Surge Arresters Station class porcelain housed Arresters consist of a stack of Metal Oxide elements held rigidly by a tie rod with pressure release arrangements at both ends which consist of reverse acting diaphragms that rupture against a knife edged pressure release plate in the unlikely event of arrester failure. The rupture releases pressure build-up due to short circuit and causes the gases to be expelled through directional venting ports avoiding catastrophic failures. ZnO Disks High performance ZnO elements play an important role in the manufacturing of surge arresters. The ZnO elements are manufactured in state-of-the-art manufacturing facility by taking acute care of composition, purity, particle size of input materials and manufacturing process - broadly consisting of homogenous mixing, spray drying, powder pressing and sintering at controlled conditions. Sintered blocks are glass coated and heat treated to achieve good stability and characteristics.
